Obligatory Veteran's Day Story
Both of my grandfathers were in WWII; one was a Sargeant in Normandy, and the other one was stationed at Pearl Harbor at the time of the attack.

Happy Halloween!
Wow, I spent a crapton of time on my costume this year, and I have both a sewing machine and unemployment to thank for that. I took it out for a test drive on Friday night in the snow, and it held up pretty well. I wish I could say the same for the makeup and hair.
Now if only I had a place to wear this costume tonight, then Haloween would be complete!

So, as I have mentioned, I am in a financial quandry, and in order to get some extra money, I decided to donate plasma. Which was great! Until the part where I didn’t get paid because October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and no one gets paid for their donation because cancer patients really need plasma.
